The things you don't ask on the phone.
I come into your home. It is reasonable to want to know exactly what that means before you pick up the phone. Here it is.
01
Before I arrive
What do I wear? Do I have to undress?
The only uncovered areas are the ones being worked on. The rest of your body stays covered, the whole time.
If we're only doing your back, only your back is uncovered. Nothing else.
We work on skin with oil, so clothing only moves away from the area being worked at that moment. When we finish there, it is covered again and we move on.
Can someone else be home?
No problem at all.
Partner, parent, friend, flatmate — whoever you want, in whichever room you want, and in the same room if that suits you better.
You don't need to ask it as a favour and you don't need to explain it. It is your home.
How much space does it actually need?
About two metres by one. Nothing else — not even a socket: everything, including the TENS/EMS unit, runs on batteries.
We don't move furniture. The table goes up in a minute and comes down in the same. When I leave, the room is how I found it.
Will my sofa or rug get stained?
No. I bring my own portable table with my own covers. The oils stay on the table and leave with me.
You don't need to prepare or lay out anything.
It's my first time. What exactly happens?
First we talk for a few minutes: where it hurts, since when, what you do for work, whether you take anything, whether you've had surgery.
Then I set up the table, step out of the room so you can get ready, and we start gently on the back. There is nothing you need to know beforehand.
02
During
Does the massage hurt?
It shouldn't. Pressure is set by what the body in front of me can take — that is where the best result is, no further forward, no further back.
There is no such thing as it having to hurt in order to work. A body braced against pain is working against you.
Can I ask you to stop?
At any moment, without explaining anything.
The same goes for smaller things: lighter pressure, skipping an area, changing position, finishing early. I ask as we go, but don't wait for me — say it.
Do we talk, or is the silence awkward?
Whatever suits you. Some people chat the whole hour, others close their eyes and don't say a word. Both are completely fine.
03
After
Will I ache the next day?
You might — especially after a first session or a sports massage. It feels like soreness after training.
That is normal and it usually passes within a day or two. If it lasts longer or worries you, call me.
How long do cupping marks last?
Usually three to seven days, and they fade on their own. They are not impact bruises and they don't hurt to touch.
If you have a wedding, a beach day, a match or anything else that week, tell me before we start and we skip the cups. The session loses nothing.
What do I do after the session?
Drink water and skip hard training that evening. Nothing else is needed.
If your case needs something more — a couple of exercises for home, say — I'll tell you at the end.
How often should I come?
For maintenance, every two to three weeks. Before a match, three to four days ahead. After a match, within the first 24 hours.
I don't sell subscriptions and I won't push you to come back. The 5+1 package is offered only after the first session, never on the phone.
The limits
When we don't book.
I don't provide therapy and I don't diagnose. I do massage.
If your description tells me that what you have needs a doctor or a physiotherapist, I will say so on the phone and we will not book.
That isn't politeness. It is the only thing that makes what I do inside my limits worth anything.
TENS/EMS is not used during pregnancy, with a pacemaker, over metal implants or on broken skin — full list of contraindications.
04
Practical
How do I pay?
Cash only, at the end of the session.
How late can I cancel?
Free up to two days before the appointment. Later than that, 50% of the price is charged — the slot was booked and can't be filled in time.
Do you come to my area?
I start from Alimos and there's no travel charge within 10 km: Palaio Faliro, Elliniko, Argyroupoli, Agios Dimitrios, Glyfada, Nea Smyrni, Ilioupoli, Kallithea, Voula, Piraeus.
Further out is negotiable, with a 60-minute minimum. Just ask.
What hours do you work?
All of them, by appointment — weekends included. I answer myself, usually the same day. If I'm in a session, I'll call you back as soon as it ends.
Anything still unanswered?
Just ask. The call costs nothing and commits you to nothing.
